How is YOUR Morning?

October 10, 2019

We start our mornings off pretty SLOW around our house. Mummy gathers us up and gets us snuggled in beside her on the sofa and fixes herself a cup of nice hot tea, checks her e-mail, plays a few WORD GAMES, turns on the TV and might watch an episode of CHOPPED or FIXER-UPPER… and THEN starts to get us all brushed out and dressed for the day. Sometimes it is NOON before she even gets HERSELF dressed, but she says she doesn’t care because she just loves cuddling with us in the mornings. πŸ˜˜πŸ€—β€οΈπŸΆ What is YOUR morning routine?

Get up, feed doggies, fix a cup of coffee to drink while I read my Bible. Let dogs out for a bit, then get myself ready for the day.

That sounds like a relaxing morning. Mummy’s sister bought her a β€œBible a Day” and every day you read a section of the Bible until at the end of the year, you have read the whole Bible! She really enjoyed it! She said she wants to start over and read it again!!! β€οΈπŸ™πŸ»β€οΈ

My mummy gets up and fixes her coffee, while I stay in bed with the daddy! When she gets out her breakfast bar, I spring out to help taste it for quality! Not any chocolate tho… she’s on her own there! Then I go back to bed to guard daddy.. then get him up!

No routine whatsoever in this house! Every day has it’s own surprises lately and we just go with the flow. But the girls always come first! They get their breakfast before anything gets done. And while they go lazily back to thier little beds mommy does crazy trying to sort through the days events! Never a dull morning…

Hi Millie…I’m going to tell you about our weekend mornings (since Mommy still works Monday – Friday.) It all starts at 6:30 AM (!) when my bratty baby sister, Maggie, starts bouncing on Mommy’s head to wake her up. I keep trying to tell her to let Mommy sleep a little longer, but NOOOO…Maggie thinks it’s time to start barking at the outside world. Mommy gets up and follows us as we race downstairs to head to the sliding glass door to the backyard. Mommy gets her coffee while we “take care of business” and then we come indoors and get our breakfast! Finally, Mommy gets a chance to sit down on the sofa, sip her coffee and snuggle with us!! Love & kisses – Lucy

You girls are SO lucky! Unfortunately, I have to get up at 5:00a.m. get my girls up. Let them out. Then get their fresh water and food ready. Then get the meds ready for Pebbles. Two pills. Two liquids and an eye drop solution. Then out the door by 7:00a.m. and off to work until 6pm. πŸ™ But then I get the dinner ready and then snuggle with the girls before we fall asleep. Days off on Wednesday and Sunday we all get to sleep in a little longer and then have a lot more snuggles and fun.

Well since I’m retired thing are pretty relaxed around here. I like to stay up late and sleep in late LOL thankfully the kids are all on board with that plan. When I get up I get to potty first then they all get to potty. Then I fix my sweet ice tea to take my medicine for the day. The boys don’t like to eat right away so we wait a bit for them to eat their breakfast. Then they usually go in and out a couple hundred times during the day and take naps. LOL Today is Scruffy’s 9th birthday so we will have a special meal and a little cake for him. Yesterday I fell and hit my face into a door frame so today is starting REALLY slow! and since we saw you in August I lost my Tootsie Sept 20th… she had been ill with kidney/liver issues but had actually been improving.. the Vet thinks now she had cancer she got very sick quickly the beginning of September. I had so hoped she would make it to her 14th birthday next month. My love to you all.

Hi Millie! Our mummy feeds us breakfast and she makes her coffee. After we eat we sit with her on the couch to cuddle a little bit before she gets ready for work. Our mummy put us on a diet and so she has to watch us eat because 🐝 🐝 tries to take some of mine. She’s a fatty and a piglet. It’s her fault we’re on a diet!!🐢🐢🐾🐾🐝🐝

Lolololol Mummy has put Addie and Tulip on a little diet. All of us tend to gain weight on those long 2- month long AIRSTREAM trips because we are pushed around in the stroller and there isn’t much room to run around in the trailer. Mummy doesn’t really like the doggie runs at the campgrounds so we only get occasional walks… there are soooo many dogs that are running LOOSE in those parks that Mummy just gets too nervous!!! So when we get home… WOW, we have plumped up! After a few months of trotting around our house and having our portions cut back… we are usually back in shape!

We usually sleep until 7:30 or 8. Then we do some subtle stretches and head turns to see if mommy and daddy are ready to get up. Mommy stretches and we both go in for a big kiss and back rubs . Then mommy gets up and starts rehydrating our food and makes coffee. While our food is hydrating daddy and mommy take us to a close by park and take a big walk and we do our business. We live in hot Florida so mommy likes to get us out before it heats up to much. When it cools off this winter, we reverse our routine. We travel in a RV like you girls too! Hope it’s not too cold in Indiana this Thanksgiving! Xoxo

Our Mommy and Daddy are retired so every day is pretty laid back (except Sunday). We usually start waking Mommy and Daddy about 5:30 cause we’re β€œtinies” and our tummies get empty pretty early. We get and give lots of kisses and cuddles in bed for a while (also gives us time to use our tee-tee pad) then we’re off to the kitchen for a yummy breakfast. Mommy and Daddy then take their coffee to our screen room and we all lounge, kiss and cuddle till time to start β€œgetting something done” as Mommy calls it.

Mommy’s alarm clock goes off a little too early for me and sissy. We stay snuggied in the big bed while Mommy showers and gets ready for work. Then we are ready to get up. We yawn and stretch and then she takes us out to potty. We eat breakfast and go out one more time for potty. Mommy cleans up our wee wee pads from overnight and puts down fresh ones. We’re little and sometimes we just can’t hold it all night, but we are good girls and use our wee wee pads. Then Mommy gets us a treat cause she feels bad leaving us for work. We go to our doggy room and sit in our doggy beds. She gives us our treat and then gives us kisses and reminds us to be good girls. Then she closes the gate to our room and goes to work. We eat our snack and go back to bed!

Monday through Friday our mom works and she feeds us 1 teaspoon of cottage cheese, and a squirt of pumpkin puree. We love it!!! Our dad changes our wee wee pads, then its faces washed, a fresh bowl of water and they head out the door. Weekends are late starts, cuddles, kisses and following mom around the house while she does chores. We get tired really fast and need a nap. We can’t wait until our parents retire.

My mom gets up around 9 in the morning unless that crazy black cat starts crying and wanting food and attention at 4 or 6 or whenever in the morning. My mom has to lock her bedroom door at night if the cat stays in or else it knows how to jump up to the doorknob and open the door. I don’t like her very much, but mom says she’s just a baby and needs loving too even if she is bigger than me. Mom takes me outside when we first get up, feeds me then I snuggle with her on the couch while she has her coffee and reads the emails and news. I’m happy as long as I’m close to my mom. She took me shopping today in the special little bag she puts me in that she carries on her shoulder. People are always surprised and happy to see me blink or move, cause they think at first it’s just a purse with a fake dog head on it. But I’m real alright. I love being safe in that bag and being able to see all the cool stuff on the shelves in the stores. I’m happy as long as I’m near my mommy. She’s even taken me to church and i’m quiet as a church mouse er dog. :-))

Once she gets down first stop is out the door then breakfast (she has a ravenous appetite) then we sit together on the couch while I drink my coffee and watch the news. We both have to ease into the day. Couch time is our cuddle time.

I set in on the sofa with the reclyner out, Trixie comes and snuggles close to me. I have my coffee, read my Bible and devotions, then get ready for work. The only exception is on Tuesday and Thursday I take Trixie to doggie day care so she isn’t alone every day.
