Millie’s Vanilla-Mint Body Spray

June 9, 2019

.

Some of our friends have been asking for the homemade recipe that Mummy uses to keep us smelling sweet.  Since we sleep in the BIG BED, lounge on the BIG FURNITURE and travel in tight quarters in our AIRSTREAM, it is of VITAL IMPORTANCE that we maintance a decorum of cleanliness.  In addition to WEEKLY BATHS (this is a MUST!) we are spritzed daily with her homemade body spray.  It is sooooo easy to make, seriously… it will take you less than 5 minutes to make a bottle.  You can get the little spritz bottles from any health food store or a beauty supply store.  Make sure that you shake it well before each application in order to mix up all of the ingredients.  I hope that you will try it and enjoy using it as much as we do.

MILLIE’S VANILLA-MINT BODY SPRAY

.

1 (2.5 ounce) glass spray bottle… plastic can leach in harmful chemicals, so use glass

1/4 cup water

2 drops organic peppermint oil… make sure to ONLY USE the kind that can be used for TOPICAL USE.  You can find this at health food stores!!!

1/4 teaspoon CLEAR vanilla extract (Don’t use BROWN vanilla extract or it could color your doggie’s fur!!!)

1/4 teaspoon melted organic coconut oil

.

In a small measuring cup, mix all of the ingredients and pour them into your glass spray bottle using a funnel for easier pouring.  Shake it all up until well combined.  Make sure that you SHAKE it before each application on your doggie, in order to mix all of the ingredients.  If the weather is COLD outside… your coconut oil might start to solidify inside of the bottle.  You can fix this by simply putting your bottle in a bowl of very warm water to WARM UP your solution and this will “melt” the coconut oil again.  DO NOT SPRAY THIS NEAR YOUR FURBABY’S EYES OR MOUTH!

.

KISS KISS!!

Mummy said oh! Thank you! My brother stinks cause he’s not good cleaning himself. I don’t, but mummy makes ME get a bath on Sunday’s too.. so he doesn’t feel singled out! I told her he would get over it, but she insists! So thank you Millie!
